We are experiencing this very period of modern history, and the trend is only upward. The digital world of social networks has amplified the impact on people’s emotions, often not through honest means. Logic loses to emotions by a crushing score and participates less in decision-making or even in shaping worldviews. Accordingly, those who not only caught and utilized this wave of emotions but also resonate with them take power.
And it’s not just about Ukraine and Zelensky. There’s the USA with Trump, and by the way, it’s unlikely that the Democrats will be able to put forward a moderate candidate, rather than an extreme left one. The pendulum has swung to radical markers. There’s also Poland with Nawrocki, where the percentage of illogical anti-Ukrainian madness is becoming indecently large. Incidentally, Russia’s total madness led by Putin also began with fighting against Ukrainian self-identity.
There are also fears about the possible victory or at least strong influence of radicals in the parliaments of France, Germany, and the UK. You can also see Slovakia with Fico, Bulgaria with the new prime minister. Romania miraculously slipped through, and Hungary only exited this period because it lasted there for so long and became tiresome.
I write this text for those who can think and analyze, for you. So, there’s a diagnosis. How to cure it and how to endure and overcome the leadership of the insane?
First recipe – reach out. Move from logic to emotions in communication. There is no defense against a sledgehammer, and this is already obvious, but direct, frontal confrontation will not help. It only strengthens the sense of rightness of the subject hypnotized by embedded emotions.
Second recipe – convert. Or rather reprogram. You won’t convince a stubborn person with arguments that they endanger themselves and those around them with their decisions. You need to set such a degree of emotional conviction that the interlocutor has no choice but to make a different decision. And I’m definitely not talking about raising your voice or insults. I’m talking about the power of emotional images. Which emotions are the most influential? Well, ask AI 😆 .
But if we don’t want the leadership of the insane to ultimately lead to a global catastrophe, we need to start now. No, yesterday.
