A meaningful conversation with the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine, Thomas Lund-Sørensen.
We discussed the situation at the front, the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially for the protection of Ukrainian skies, energy, and critical infrastructure. I thanked Denmark for its comprehensive support of Ukraine and expressed hope for its continued leadership, particularly within the framework of the Danish model for supporting Ukrainian defense production.
Important attention was given to Ukraine’s progress on the path to EU membership, particularly the opening of two new negotiating clusters. I emphasized the need to do everything possible to open all negotiating clusters by the end of this year.
We exchanged views on reforms in Ukraine, primarily within the “Foundations” cluster. Democracy, the rule of law, and the fight against corruption must remain unconditional priorities on Ukraine’s European path.
