The state should speak to society in one language.

The state should speak to society in one language.
Nina Yuzhanina

I’ll share my thoughts because I CAN’T handle the emotions alone 😕.

When there is no light in the country, both literally and figuratively.
When people don’t know when, how, or with what the war will end.
When businesses survive from generator to generator, and families — from anxiety to anxiety.

And against this backdrop, we hear about “Prosperity Packages,” grand reconstruction plans, new funds, and strategies for decades ahead.

Is this normal?

What kind of prosperity can we talk about when today’s reality is a war of attrition?

For now:

  • there is no tangible success in negotiations;
  • there is no clear security model;
  • there is not even basic certainty for citizens and businesses.

Plans for the day after tomorrow are needed. But they cannot replace answers to questions about today.

People need an honest conversation about the present, not a presentation of the future:

  • how to survive/get through this winter,
  • how to sustain the economy and their job,
  • how to preserve the army and the country.

The state must speak to society in the same language, not the language of a parallel reality.

Honestly, I sit and wonder: who still likes promises of this kind, for whom is this intended?!

I don’t even want to hint at all the “promised achievements” because they are ALL SUBJECTS of cruel jokes. Even without me.
