Ukrainian Airlogix and the German-American Auterion have begun the production of 5,000 long-range drones for the needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The drones are manufactured in Germany, and the contract is worth about 300 million euros.

This was reported on September 4 by Defense Express citing the German publication Hartpunkt.

It concerns two drone models – Anubis and Seth-X. The production is carried out by the joint American-German-Ukrainian enterprise Auterion Airlogix Joint Venture GmbH at a plant near Munich. The contract is expected to be completed by mid-2027.

Within the project, Auterion is responsible for the software, and Airlogix handles the drone hardware. Another plant is also planned to be built in Eastern Germany.

According to Defense Express, the production model is designed for scaling and further deployment of similar capacities in other countries in Europe and among its allies.

Auterion notes that this is the first serial production in Germany of long-range drones of this class. Specifically, the range of Anubis is up to 1,500 km.

The drones must also be adapted to operate in conditions of active use of electronic warfare and signal suppression.

For Ukraine, the launch of production in Germany means the emergence of an additional line for manufacturing long-range UAVs. Meanwhile, Germany, through this project, enhances its own production capabilities in the field of defense technology.
