A pleasant meeting with the Ambassador of the French Republic to Ukraine, Brice Roquefeuil.
We discussed the security situation and Ukraine’s urgent needs in strengthening defense capabilities, particularly enhancing air defense. I thanked France for its consistent support of Ukraine and noted the importance of further military assistance and practical cooperation to strengthen our resilience.
We had a substantial discussion on diplomatic efforts and the prospects of the negotiation process considering the latest events and planned meetings. I emphasized that the path to true diplomacy should begin with a full and unconditional ceasefire.
Significant attention was given to the internal situation in Ukraine, the progress of reforms, and advancement towards European Union membership. We discussed fulfilling necessary obligations, strengthening the rule of law, and improving the effectiveness of anti-corruption institutions. I highlighted the importance of maintaining the pace of European integration and consistent progress in the negotiation process, particularly opening all negotiation clusters by the end of the year.
