The “European Solidarity” faction calls for an urgent closed session of the coordination council and a parliamentary meeting due to the ongoing aerial terror from the aggressor state. This was announced by co-chair of the faction Iryna Herashchenko. The member of parliament witnessed the attack on the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

“I was running along Khmelnytskoho Street and heard a loud explosion, then a black plume of smoke. It was immediately obvious that it was a direct hit in broad daylight, in the center of the Ukrainian capital. It seemed that the black cloud came from the familiar yellow building of the university. However, the strike was on the Academy of Sciences building, which was immediately cordoned off by the police, and firefighters are still extinguishing the fire,” writes the MP.

“This terrible safari once again shows how unprotected Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities are from reactive ‘Shaheds,’ how the time for modernization and strengthening of air defense, including mobile anti-‘Shahed’ groups, was squandered. Unlike the enemy, who quickly modernizes killing tools and increases their production. Where are the 3000 missiles? Where is the money that went into the pockets of government-incited pocket structures that sell drones to the state at astronomical prices and fail to produce the promised long-range means?” Herashchenko notes.

“European Solidarity demands the immediate convening of a closed coordination and VR meeting with one issue – ensuring air defense and the Armed Forces, the situation with shelters. A report on the production of domestic missiles and anti-Shahed systems, which the government endlessly announced. What about the communication system and its protection? These questions, together with Artur Herasymov we will demand from the leadership of the VR today a closed meeting with the military and the NSDC secretary,” writes Herashchenko.

“Zelensky must urgently meet with the leadership of parliamentary factions,” emphasizes the co-chair of “European Solidarity”.

She also expressed her sincere condolences to the victims and their families. “Alarm sounds again in Kyiv, the enemy continues to strike the Ukrainian capital. In the morning, I try to reach all the familiar employees of the NAS to see how they are,” writes Iryna Herashchenko.
