Emphasized that comprehensive support for Ukraine, strengthening the negotiation positions regarding ending the war, increasing military and economic assistance to our country, and accelerating negotiations for Ukraine’s accession to the EU should be a priority on the European Parliament’s agenda.
Welcomed today’s decision by the European Commission to allocate 6 billion euros to Ukraine to strengthen the Ukrainian military, including the purchase of Patriot interceptors.
Called for an increase in financial aid to Ukraine from the European Union to cover the budget deficit. Especially regarding expenses on strengthening energy infrastructure and recovery programs.
Discussed prospects for opening the remaining clusters within the accession negotiations by the end of this year. Attention was given to the implementation of priority reforms in the fields of democracy, rule of law, justice, and anti-corruption.
