Roads or air defense – a false dilemma

Roads or air defense – a false dilemma
Serhii Marchenko

We are being forced into a false dilemma: roads or air defense. The absurdity of this dilemma is best illustrated by the analogy: you go to the hospital with a sore throat and a broken leg, and they ask you, should we treat the leg or the throat? If a doctor asked you such a question in real life, you’d look at them like they’re an idiot. Because if both the throat and leg are afflicted, both need to be treated.

The same goes for roads and air defense. We can’t stop repairing roads. Because if we don’t repair the roads, we’ll later be repairing cars, and people will die on bad roads. This will be much more expensive than keeping roads in satisfactory condition.

The state is far more complex than a single person, and a state’s problems are much more complex than those of an individual. Many processes need to happen SIMULTANEOUSLY in a state. The state needs not only to build air defense and roads but also to teach children, treat the sick, support refugees, pay pensions, salaries to the military, and do THOUSANDS of other important things SIMULTANEOUSLY!

The truth is, the problem with air defense is NOT related to road construction in any way. These are two separate problems that do not intersect.

The problem with air defense arose not because money went to roads, but because the responsible people SCREWED UP the appearance of reactive drones.

The technological breakthrough of the Russians with the reactive drones was known for a long time; it was talked about all last year. But the responsible people could not establish countermeasures in time. And when these drones went into series, it turned out there was nothing to shoot them down with.

This truth is very unpleasant because it means that due to their negligence and inability to predict the development of the war, responsible people are guilty of human casualties and the destruction of businesses.

To remove the blame from the responsible people, it was devised that mayors, who build roads, are at fault. This is very convenient because, with one stroke, the REAL culprits of air defense incapability are absolved and local communities are weakened, being declared wasteful and responsible for the attacks on their communities.

People like this because they WANT to believe that as soon as we stop building roads, air defense will appear. That’s how the human psyche is arranged. It will cling to any absurdity just for someone to promise there will be no bombings.

The truth is, when we stop building roads, drones and missiles will continue to fly because, as I’ve said, road repairs have NOTHING to do with the quality of air defense work.

The worst part of this whole story is that the people who SCREWED UP the appearance of reactive drones are absolved and remain in their positions. This means that there are new mess-ups ahead and interesting stories that there is no heat and water because the state pays pensions or maintains healthcare.

It’s very unfortunate that many people enthusiastically engage in this game and don’t want to see the REAL reasons for our problems. I’m writing about this so you know and understand where you’re being SCAMMED.

We need to significantly improve the quality of state governance to save human lives.
