Not every peace is a path to life

Not every peace is a path to life
Yuriy Lutsenko

1. What does Putin want to achieve?

Many friends and unfamiliar people in these days of constant drone-missile strikes ask: what is the goal of this aerial terror?

There is a version that he is trying to organize a rebellion in the capital. If the Kremlin vampire is still as idiotic regarding the Ukrainian character as in 2022, then it’s possible.

But I think that the enemy’s special services have long understood and explained to their ruler that they will not see pro-Kremlin unrest.

So why these unprecedented strikes on civilian infrastructure and the population?

My version: Putin has learned the lesson of the first attempt to force capitulation in Istanbul-2022. Then Zelensky did not dare to sign the Russian document. Because even in the bunker, he felt the categorical rejection of capitulation by the Army and the people.

So now Putin is intimidating Ukrainians, imposing the thesis of peace at any cost, so that Zelensky is not afraid of street excesses when signing Istanbul-2.

2. Why are we so weak now?

The enemy has seized control in the sky against unprecedented increase in European aid to our Armed Forces.

But two defense ministers, two NSDC secretaries, and the President have done nothing to prevent the enemy’s reactive drones from staging a safari over the capital.

This blindness is the result of the green elite’s struggle for the profits of “their” weapons manufacturers. The lust for profit outweighed the desire for victory.

The same happened in the field of energy protection, bridges, etc.

The state mafia devours the efforts of the Army, which heroically holds the frontline. This is felt by both Ukrainians and allies.

3. What are the “peace fighters” trying to push on us?

According to the laws of the genre, the intensification of terror was supplemented by voices about the need to negotiate. Hetmantsev, Terekhov, and Goncharenko voiced the thesis about the need to start peace talks. But if the first two mainly demonstrated readiness to defend Zelensky from the “party of war,” the latter threw in the thesis about Ukraine’s neutral status and guarantees to the Russian language and church as a way out of Russian aggression.

That this categorically contradicts the position of the party, in whose faction he is a deputy, is obvious.

But the toxicity of such a throw needs separate analysis.

Neutrality in the world comes in two forms.

On one pole, the armed neutral Switzerland, left in peace by both the Habsburgs and Hitler.

On the other — the symbolic army, essentially, of unarmed neutrality of Austria.

Istanbul-22, initialed by a member of the Ukrainian delegation, envisaged precisely disarmed neutrality.

Reduction of the Ukrainian Army to 50-80 thousand and a ban on missile weapons for Ukraine with a range of over 40 km — this is an open door to further occupation of all Ukraine. Without resistance. So that within 2-3 years Ukrainian men in Russian camouflage would storm Warsaw and Vilnius.

Armed neutrality, at first glance, does not imply such a variant.

But!

The question arises, where will neutral Ukraine get the funds for its powerful Army to prevent new Russian invasions?

There are no resources for this. Counting on the EU to fund the maintenance of a neutral country’s Army is the height of foolishness.

Therefore, any neutrality is a means of unarmed surrender of the country to the aggressor. And agitation for this is a repetition of Vynnychenko’s fantasies about the unnecessary army for the UPR. What this led Ukraine to is known.

Therefore, not any peace is the path to a life without war for our children.

And only collective defense together with European countries gives a chance for lasting peace from a position of strength.
