The situation is too complex to bury one's head in the sand.

Today, the Parliament not only failed to make any effective decisions but also to call the Minister of Energy to inform Ukrainians.

This is bad. People need a basic understanding: is it possible to restore heating to the homes in the Darnytsia and Dnipro districts? Is there a plan B to provide these homes with stable electricity for heating devices?

The same situation exists in Kharkiv, where the Zmiivska CHP was targeted by Russians.

This is the case where the answer to the question “who is to blame?” is obvious. Now the main thing is – what to do? Whispering among colleagues about the impossibility of quick recovery won’t help.

People are waiting in cold homes. Frosts may weaken, but they will still be strong for at least the next 10 days.

If the majority deputies, who deliberately didn’t vote today to inform the Minister of Energy, aren’t interested in the answers, it’s certainly crucial for millions of people left without heat.

There are many people who cannot move, elderly people who often have nowhere to go.

The government and local authorities must finally propose an evacuation plan. And honestly provide information – what to expect and what to do.

Propaganda won’t help. Populism and silence neither. The situation is too complicated.
