Petro Poroshenko

Today (May 7, 2026 — Ed.) Marina Poroshenko, the Civic Case organization, and I are surpassing the 8 billion hryvnias mark in aid to the Armed Forces since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The Poroshenko Foundation has contributed 7 billion. More than 1 billion is from the Civic Case. Together — eight.

We have invested 1.5 billion in FPV drones, “Bliskavky,” droppings, fiber optics, and other combat drones. Research shows that each hryvnia inflicts 100 times more damage on the enemy than invested. Thus, our 1.5 billion means 150 billion in damage to the aggressor’s army.

Today, we are handing over another 28 million hryvnias for 11 brigades, battalions, other units, and a military hospital. This includes excavators, mobile sawmills, “Bliskavky,” “Vyrii,” “Stark Bomber,” “Starlinks,” generators, “Aspirin” detectors, and laundry-shower complexes. All of this saves lives and helps maintain the Ukrainian front.

Unfortunately, while we are helping the army, those who steal hundreds of billions in Mindichgate, Energoatom, the defense, and banking sectors in the morning, impose sanctions against Poroshenko in the evening, then pressure the courts and hinder financing the Armed Forces. Stop doing this. Do not interfere with us helping those who defend Ukraine.

And we will not stop — we will stand with the Armed Forces as long as needed.

Yesterday, paratroopers, artillerymen, scouts, and assault troops visited our office for the next batch of equipment. Eleven units working where it’s hardest right now. To meet their needs, Marina Poroshenko, the Poroshenko Foundation, and I spent more than 28,000,000 UAH.

It’s pleasing to see the entire parking lot filled with equipment that will ease the work of the military at the front tomorrow. Here are excavators and mobile sawmills, because defense without fortification construction is impossible. Hundreds of various drones and much other equipment. Overall, we are handing over:

▪️2 excavators,
▪️5 sawmills,
▪️mobile complex based on a trailer,
▪️laundry-shower complex,
▪️100 FPV “Vyrii” drones on fiber optics,
▪️100 “Bliskavka” complexes,
▪️24 “Stark Bomber” FPV drones,
▪️67 “Starlink” complexes,
▪️50 “Aspirin” drone detectors,
▪️90 generators,
▪️10 charging stations,
▪️other electronics.

We continue our collaboration with the Armed Forces units, which we have been conducting since February 24, 2022. Although the authorities are still attempting to overturn the court decision that allowed us to unblock accounts for assistance to the military. Those who steal billions from the “Mindichgate,” “Energoatom,” banking sector, and defense industries have the audacity to hinder our support for the military and defense of Ukraine.

By May 8, our team managed to surpass the symbolic mark of 8 billion UAH in aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale invasion. Primarily, these are funds from Marina and me in the “Poroshenko Foundation.” We are grateful to the NGO “Sprava Hromad,” which managed to invest 1 billion UAH in the military during this time. Together, we continue to seek equipment abroad, order from Ukrainian manufacturers, and meet the daily needs of units.

Let us not forget who sustains our state. Every day we must care for our soldiers and hasten victory over the aggressor.

Imagine a state in its fifth year of a 12-year war fighting for survival. In this state, the military holds the front daily, paying with health, nerves, youth, sometimes — everything.

But over these years, their payments have not been properly indexed. The dollar is almost at 45. There’s a war in the country. Prices are rising. But as usual, there is no money for indexing military payments.

Yet funds are found for “checking,” “ebanking,” and dozens of fancy programs, after which the country has more presentations, but not more shells, drones, and fairness.

For five years, we have been saying one simple thing: the military levy should go to the military. Not to political whims or to another program with a nice name and dubious meaning. But exactly where people think it goes when paying it from their salary: to those who defend Ukraine.

And only now is there a first result. The budget committee has finally recommended passing a bill that directs military levy funds to a special fund — for payments to servicemen.

This amounts to over 200 billion UAH annually. 200 billion that should work not for the authorities’ PR but for the army.

The vote is next week. And there will be no fancy explanations. It will be a simple test: those for the army vote for, those for populism twist their way out.

The Ukrainian Parliament must finally side with the military. Because in a country at war, priorities should not be in presentations or fine programs with “-ing” endings.

First — the Army.
Then — everything else.
