Glory to Ukraine!

Glory to the defenders of Ukraine and all modern civilization!

  • And again, “Putin wants to make a deal,” and again, “Putin and Zelensky hate each other.”
  • What the “diesel deal” between Trump and Putin changed

▶ The 47th president, as usual, makes statements repeating what he has said many times before.

On Monday: “Putin wants to make a deal,” “we need to convince Zelensky to make a deal.”

On Tuesday: “Putin and Zelensky both want to stop the war. But they hate each other so much they cannot. The US should help them.”

And so on. There is no point in analyzing this stream of consciousness mixed with false claims.

It makes sense to analyze actions and deeds.

On Friday, Trump announced a “deal” with Putin to supply Russian diesel fuel to global markets.

The most accurate response to the question posed by MS NOW channel host Katy Tur about how to regard the possible US purchase of Russian diesel fuel was given by Democratic Congressman, Deputy Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Adam Smith:

– the president deserves impeachment and removal from office.

Because if the US, under the president’s direction, purchases Russian diesel fuel, the president will thereby violate the US law of 2022, prohibiting the import of oil and petroleum products from Russia. And for violating the law, the president deserves impeachment and removal from office.

Adam Smith succinctly and clearly outlined what awaits Trump in the newly elected House of Representatives if the purchase of Russian diesel fuel by the American government, even in symbolic amounts, is confirmed: impeachment.

Adam Smith added that impeachment also awaits Pentagon Chief Hegeth. Obviously, in this case, the investigation will be conducted by the Armed Services Committee, which, in the likely event of a Democratic victory in the elections, will be chaired by Adam Smith.

What happens after Trump’s announcement of a “deal” with Putin on diesel fuel and an “energy ceasefire,” which, according to US media, Trump believes should involve mutual cessation of strikes on refineries (of which Ukraine has none left after Russian strikes back in 2022), that is, Ukraine refraining from striking Russian refineries?

Many US media outlets, citing their “sources,” reported that Witkoff and Kusher threatened Ukraine, stating that if it continues to strike these refineries, the US will stop providing Ukraine with intelligence information and selling it weapons funded by European money under the PURL program. However, the same media, citing other sources, reported that such an ultimatum was not set by Witkoff and Kushner.

The reality is as follows.

Ukraine has not been striking Russian refineries for two days.

Ukraine did not receive intelligence data from the US on a Russian ballistic attack on Tuesday night (although Trump publicly denied on Tuesday that the US had stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine).

The price of diesel fuel in the US and worldwide has not changed, remaining at a record high.

The price of gasoline in the US and worldwide has also not changed.

Oil prices have fluctuated insignificantly, and currently, the price per barrel of “Brent” is $107.1, which is even slightly higher than it was on Friday before Trump’s tweet about the deal with Putin.

If Trump’s goal was to influence voters to vote for Republicans, he has not achieved it. He promised on Friday that prices would drop quickly. But the reality is the opposite of his promises. Fuel station price tags reflect the reality much more significantly than Trump’s promises.

From all this, the following conclusions can be drawn at the moment.

Trump did not help the Republicans. They remain on the trajectory of losing the elections.

But Trump provided significant assistance to Putin. Because for two days now, Ukraine has not been striking Russian refineries, pumping stations, or port infrastructure used for exporting oil and oil products.

If Ukraine continues such a unilateral energy “ceasefire,” Putin will be rubbing his hands, mocking Trump.

▶ The Washington Post published details of another “peace plan” proposed by Witkoff and Kushner at a meeting with the Ukrainian delegation and representatives of several European countries, NATO, and the EU last Friday.

Let’s not discuss freezing the war on the front line simply because Putin will not agree to it. Let’s not discuss security guarantees for Ukraine at the level of NATO’s Article 5, again because Putin will not agree (and why not just admit Ukraine to NATO in that case).

And since Putin will not agree, it is impossible to reach an agreement under such conditions in today’s situation, where Russia still has resources to continue the war.

However, there is one point in this “peace plan” that is worth discussing. The resumption of gas and oil supplies from Russia to Europe, including through Ukraine. Trump and his entourage want to make Europe totally dependent on Russian energy resources again. Reports in several media outlets about negotiations on gas supplies with the participation of Kushner and Vitkoff, which the “Alternative for Germany” party intends to conduct with Russia, are not surprising in light of recent news.

Overall, the most remarkable thing is that all this is in exact accordance with the “National Security Strategy of the United States” – the official foreign policy doctrine of Trump and his administration, published in early December 2025.

This document, in particular, states:

“The war in Ukraine had a paradoxical effect – it increased Europe’s external dependency, especially Germany’s. Today, German chemical companies are building some of the world’s largest processing plants in China, using Russian gas, which they cannot obtain at home.”

That is, in the main foreign policy document, the Trump administration states that German companies should receive Russian gas!

The same document declares that the US considers the EU a hostile organization to its interests and will support forces in Europe that weaken the EU:

“We support the sovereign rights of states, oppose the subversive interference of supranational organizations, and strive to reform those institutions that should not hinder, but help sovereignty and the advancement of American interests.”

“Among the deeper problems faced by Europe is the activity of the European Union and other supranational structures undermining political freedom and sovereignty.”

It further expresses support for those political forces in European countries (far-right) that are inherently anti-European.

The goals of Putin and Trump towards Europe are united. Trump does not see a liberal-democratic Europe as an ally and wants the far-right to come to power in European countries. Putin wants the same. Each of them thinks they can subordinate fragmented European countries to themselves. This is how Hitler and Stalin once divided Europe. We know well where that led.

The end of the story called “Fear: Trump in the White House” © (the title of Bob Woodward’s book, published in 2018) is 830 days away.

Thank you to everyone who read this. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Take care of each other, help each other. Health to everyone.

American friends, vote in the elections: by mail, early, on election day. Remember that your votes determine the fate of the USA, the fate of Ukraine, and the fate of the whole world.

Ultimately, what happens in the world depends on us. On whether we fight evil, do good, remain mere observers, passively wait and believe that someone somewhere will decide for us, or fight evil and do everything possible for good to prevail.

We must not allow evil to win. The victory of evil would mean the end of the world we live in. We cannot allow this. Especially now.

Ukrainian friends, I embrace and love you all. Please take care of each other, I ask you very much.

Ukraine is and always will be.

And evil will be defeated and punished. And this will certainly happen.
