As is known, the rashists don’t need evidence that we supposedly violated something or shelled someone. They will make it all up themselves, say it, and justify it. And if no one believes, it doesn’t matter. They said it, and that’s enough.
Currently, amidst rashist shelling of Ukrainian communities, we observe a systematically induced hysteria in the swamps. And a scream about the downing of 100500 “drones,” where there are none, and the disconnection of mobile internet, and scaring the population.
If there are no strikes from Ukraine on May 8-9, the rashists will say there were, but “the air defense heroically shot them down.” They might even hit a couple of buildings for clarity. The Manilov incident and Kashirskoye shosse in one bottle.
Meanwhile, there’s an ongoing clamoring about might. Medvedev raves about “panic in Germany,” and they announce nuclear tests from May 6 to 10 (right before the parade in Moscow) — test launches of missiles capable of carrying a nuclear charge at the “Kura” test site in the Ust-Kamchatka district.
The likelihood of a nuclear strike is close to zero — China won’t allow it, as they’ll have to deal with the aftermath. But they might organize another massive raid on Kyiv.
There’s only one conclusion — enhance and increase the ability to strike back at Moscow and unite the democratic world in exerting pressure on the rashists.
Don’t rush to protect “your” producers from Fire Point, but ensure that as many effective different supplies reach the troops as possible.
Don’t compete in wit with the trolls of our time, but look for ways of joint pressure on the rashists.
And don’t oppress communities, blaming them for everything, but strengthen defense.
It’s clear that you can’t fix the rashists. Therefore, we need to increase pressure from our side. Because not everyone shares the government’s “let the war continue, everything is wonderful” strategy. We need results for which the government must be held accountable.

Only by morning will it be clear whether a default silence regime has been established. Currently, Russian UAVs are observed in the skies over Kharkiv region.
The day before (May 5) was as illustrative as possible for demonstrating the nature of the war at the current moment.
1. Ukraine launched a combined missile-drone strike on the “VNIIRE” factory (“All-Russian Research Institute of Relay Construction”) in Cheboksary (Chuvashia). Last year, it was reached three times, but only by drones.
The enterprise manufactures a wide range of electronics for the Russian army, including adaptive antenna arrays “Comet,” which are installed on anything more or less precise flying towards Ukrainian cities and our army’s positions (from aerial bombs to missiles of various types and Shaheds). The target is completely legitimate, so even dear Russians have little laments of “For what?!”
The distance is around 1000 km. The real damage can be assessed later, but the demonstration on the eve of the notorious parade is quite significant. Because it involves breaking through layered air defense, where Russian aviation plays a significant role.
The Russians failed both on the route to the Leningrad region (where they missed two oil facilities) and on the section towards Chuvashia.
2. SBS hit the “Kasta-2E” radar in the Zaporizhzhia region and the “Pantsir-S1” in Bryansk. Plus, they destroyed several enemy locations and MTO/BP depots in the area.
3. The Russians committed mass terror against civilians.
As a result of the night strike on the Poltava region, 5 people were killed, including two rescuers because the Russians repeated the strike, using their traditional terrorist tactics. More than 30 people were injured.
In the second half of the day (!!!):
• KABs on Zaporizhzhia – 12 (!) killed and 39 injured.
• KABs on Kramatorsk – 6 killed and 13 injured.
• Strike (presumably ballistic) on Dnipro – 4 killed and 16 injured.
There was no military necessity for these strikes at all. It is a brazen intimidation tactic and a way to slightly elevate deflated grandeur in the eyes of the Russian population.
Because more and more Russians, even in their inherent servile manner of addressing the good tsar-unaware, allow themselves to state that things in Russia are not quite right. Solely for their amusement and involvement in the “action,” the Russian army killed 22 civilians in Ukraine in a couple of hours.
Around 20:00 in the Ruska Lozova area (Kharkiv region), the Russians struck a car with an FPV drone, injuring two women (ages 49 and 73).
Total:
• Decrease in dynamics (practically stagnation) on the LBS;
• Movement towards parity in long-range means;
significantly raise the cost of war for Russia without a clear explanation of why all this should continue? Because of the ruins of Kramatorsk, which Moscow bombards with KABs?
Notice, there is practically no rhetoric that RF is “protecting” someone. Just a war of conquest that the Kremlin is afraid to stop. Therefore, the Russian army kills civilians in Ukraine, staining all Russians with their blood.
Russians, demand a parade of the Russian army home.
* * *
As expected. Russia responded to the ceasefire proposal in the most Russian manner: by striking a kindergarten with Shaheds in Sumy. A 49-year-old woman was killed, and three others were injured.
If we continue about the Sumy region:
• In the morning, Russians attacked a civilian car with an FPV drone (Radkovka), killing a 69-year-old woman, the 66-year-old driver was injured;
• In the Velykopysarivska community, a 69-year-old man died after stepping on a mine dropped by Russians from a drone;
• Six people were injured in the region by morning: CAB and drones.
I specifically mentioned the age to show who the Russians are fighting. In both Kharkiv and Sumy regions, elderly people primarily suffer from Russian cross-border strikes.
In the morning, Russians struck more than 20 times at the village of Lyutivka (Zolochivska community, Kharkiv region). They were just destroying residential houses. This is 6 km from the border. At noon, they hit a residential building in the village of Ryasne (9 km from the border, 3 km south of Lyutivka).
Formally, there is no established LBS in this direction, only the state border, which Russian soldiers crossed by a few hundred meters (crossed the Lozova River) near Sotsnitsky Kozachok. Beyond is the gray zone, where the Russian army scorches everything alive. They don’t have the strength to capture; they just make it impossible for anyone to live on this land.
Twelve residential houses (private sector) were destroyed on the morning of May 6 directly in Kharkiv.
Question to partners: Should Ukraine act symmetrically? What is being said about this at the receptions of international forums? What does the management of the Venice Biennale think about this?
But this is rhetorical. Essentially.
I believe that, despite the brutality of the Russians, on May 8-9 one should be guided not by emotions but by the needs of effective warfare.
Two days of truce is a chance to strengthen positions, replace people, and, in some places, simply withdraw from hopeless places. The weather does not currently favor any movements. The night is short, visibility is excellent. Therefore, if there is a chance for a pause, it should be used wisely.
Drones and missiles accumulated during this period can find their targets a day later.
As for the parade in Moscow, I have a hypothesis about a “military coup” named after Shoigu. But that’s for tonight.
