Top corruption and its figures, top corrupt officials, carry a curse. It is also called the “golden toilet syndrome.”
Having grabbed “foolish” (unrighteous, illegal, unjust) money, top corrupt officials begin to materialize it into large objects. So that it’s for the ages, so that “even the grandchildren will have enough.”
It’s like Yanukovych’s “Mezhyhirya” or Putin’s “Lake.”
The system nurtured by Zelensky and his entourage is compared to the times of Yanukovych for a reason. The approach is the same – take from the budget/state monopolies or state enterprises, run through their “schemes” (like firepoint), and then – a two-room in Moscow, a three-room at the “terminal,” and “a bit for salary,” and for “6 or 26 apartments”…
Even the symbolic accomplices’ nicknames are similar. Whether it’s “Sasha-the-Dentist” or “Andriy-the-Surgeon.”
The tendency to materialize top corruption has its consequences – they become symbols. Easily recognizable points of non-acceptance.
That’s why there’s such hysteria in the government and their media service. Those who promised to “fight corruption” have overshadowed any notions of decency.
Society’s reaction is not delayed.
Top corruption is perceived as the biggest problem. Moreover, “petty,” “household” corruption goes unnoticed because demonstrative “theft” involving “homebuilding” triggers it. The hype that the current authorities raised on their way to power, deceitful and unjust, returns like a boomerang.
Only 19% believe that Zelensky is not involved in the “Mindik schemes.” Most believe that either he’s in the know (was aware), or is in on the take (involved).
These conclusions are reinforced by desperate defense and attempts to bail out the notable “figures” – both “Surgeon-AliBaba,” and government officials and other top officials.
The scandal will not subside and will not dissolve. It can’t be covered up by videos, strobe wow-effects on screens, and especially not by mudslinging and blaming all sins on the opposition.
To prevent things from getting worse, it’s time to release the figures and complete indictments and justice. Meanwhile, change the way Ukraine is governed. Instead of the “Mindik Cabinet” under the shadowy direction of the “surgeon,” a coalition of unity, an action plan, and a professional rescue government. Army, community protection, mature negotiations, forcing Russia to unconditionally cease fire. Then – elections, justice, and work.
