At least for now, it is becoming clear what Trump’s ‘energy truce’ means. It is the refusal of both countries to strike oil refining enterprises. Considering that we don’t have them. Refusing to attack energy sectors is the next stage of the truce, which may begin if Russia agrees. But if it does not agree, it does not cancel, from Trump’s point of view, that Ukraine has no right to hit Russian oil refineries.
Therefore, when Trump calls for not violating the truce he announced, he means exactly this: Ukraine should not strike Russian oil refineries, otherwise he will blackmail Ukraine by stopping aid or simply stop it.
I think that he wouldn’t have come to such a brilliant thought by himself. It’s too complex for his style. I think this idea was proposed by Putin and discussed during the last heartfelt phone conversation when both presidents couldn’t hang up, being mesmerized by the beauty of this intrigue.
Trump’s call for Zelensky’s resignation is part of this plan. Because in this way, the American president is trying to threaten his colleague and force him to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries by threatening not just to halt aid but also with a loss of power. This, too, could have been concocted by Putin, no wonder the Kremlin received this call with such enthusiasm.
The motives will only become clear after appropriate congressional investigative commissions are created or after Trump’s presidency ends. I suspect they lie in the criminal domain.

Brilliant deal in Doha: 5000 seasoned Taliban freed in exchange for the unhindered withdrawal of the US and guarantees to the Ghani regime. Afghanistan officially received the status of a ‘Major Non-NATO Ally’.
Fattening the leader of North Korea with marbled Wagyu beef and the admissions of ‘we fell in love with each other’ — and all this right after the threats of ‘fire and fury’ and button measuring contests. The result? Pyongyang not only did not fold its nuclear program but multiplied it to now supply ballistics and millions of shells to Moscow without interruption.
Total destruction of the ‘ancient Iranian civilization’ — however, exclusively on Twitter. I still can’t understand why they don’t combine a truly effective blockade with a truly effective air campaign.
Projects to build elite casinos, resorts, and Trump towers in the erased Gaza.
The Great Mexican Wall epically unfinished, while cartels smuggle contraband calmly, working 15 minutes with a cheap battery grinder.
And the classic: buying Greenland. A brilliant ginger campaign against a NATO ally, which ended with a banal lease extension of bases. Two conserved stations could have been opened without the demonstrative tantrum of canceling the state visit to Copenhagen.
We are being offered to believe in the guarantees of a person whose loud ultimatums and agreements in caps lock do not last even 12 hours.
