Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the defenders of Ukraine and the entire modern civilization!
- The 47th seeks solutions to the Iranian problem with Putin and broadcasts his subconscious to the public
- King Charles spoke in Congress and at a dinner in his honor, advocating for what is deeply alien to Trump
- Vindictive president
I have a very busy work month. Therefore, I’m off schedule. Let’s see what happened in the USA over the last four days. And the next review will be on Saturday, May 2.
▶ The 47th president told journalists in the Oval Office that he spoke with Putin for an hour and a half. It’s strange that he didn’t tweet about it. Usually, after conversations with Putin, he writes an enthusiastic tweet about having a “great conversation with President Putin.” The fact of the conversation was also confirmed by Dmitriev – Putin’s special agent for dealing with Trump, his friend Vitkoff, and son-in-law Kushner. Dmitriev wrote that the discussion was about cooperation in the field of energy and economics. From which it can be concluded that Putin was showing Trump the same Potemkin villages of “business projects” worth 12 trillion that Trump, his friends, and business partners would “earn” in Russia.
Trump stated that he spoke with Putin about Iran and that Putin “will help with Iran” by taking Iranian enriched uranium for himself. The Iranian enriched uranium was already there – in Russia, under the 2015 agreement, from which Trump withdrew in 2018, after which Iran enriched almost 500 kg of uranium to 60%, necessary for creating nuclear weapons, and enriched another 10.5 tons to a lower level.
It seems that the 47th president really wants to conclude an agreement with Iran similar to the JCPOA agreement of 2015, broken by Trump in 2018. The only problem is that Iran does not seem to be willing to enter into such an agreement at the moment.
The 47th president also stated that Russia’s wars with Ukraine and the US and Israel with Iran will end in about the same way and at about the same time.
As everyone says, Trump confused Iran with Ukraine when responding to a question from CNN correspondent Kathleen Collins and said that “Ukraine has already lost the war militarily.” Well, yes, he mixed them up. It happens. A Freudian slip. When the subconscious comes out and presents the desired as reality – the innermost subconscious thoughts turn into open real statements.
The President is frantically seeking a way out of the war with Iran, one that he could declare as his victory and a great achievement. He searches, but does not find. The Strait of Hormuz is blocked. The price of Brent crude oil is $119.8 per barrel. Gasoline prices in the U.S. are rising proportionally with the oil price. In a few days, there will be a report from the Department of Labor’s statistics bureau on April employment, and then another on April inflation a week later. It can be expected that these data, especially on inflation, will further topple the already record-low rating of the President. Along with it, the ratings of Republican candidates for Congress will fall even lower, who will have to campaign against the Democrats in July-August. It is unlikely they will be able to blame anyone for the fact that refueling a car now costs $20 more than before February 28, and that products in stores and electricity are becoming more expensive.
▶ King Charles III of the United Kingdom arrived in the U.S. The highlight of his state visit was his Tuesday address at the joint session of both houses of Congress. This was only the second such address by a British monarch in history (the first was in 1991 when Queen Elizabeth II addressed Congress).
How different was King Charles’s speech from all the speeches we hear now from American politicians, especially the President! The King’s address was fundamentally opposed to the agendas of Trump, Vance, the entire 47th President’s administration, and the entire MAGA movement.
The King spoke of values. Of the common values on which modern liberal-democratic civilization is built. On which the close, special allied relationships between the U.S. and the United Kingdom are based. Values that are so foreign to the 47th President and his entourage.
Yesterday, Trump said about the King’s speech in Congress that the King “even made the Democrats stand up from their seats and give a standing ovation,” something Trump himself could never achieve. It seems the 47th president didn’t pay close attention to what was happening in the Capitol hall. The Democrats didn’t need to be forced to stand and give the British monarch an ovation. They did so sincerely. Because King Charles spoke very convincingly and genuinely about shared values, on which the alliance of the world’s liberal democracies is based.
But who the King really made stand up were the Republicans, including Speaker Johnson and Vice President Vance. King Charles mentioned that the only time in history Article 5 of the NATO treaty was invoked was during the terrorist attack on the US on September 11, 2001, when all NATO countries came to America’s aid. And now, the King said, our duty, our obligation, is to once again help Ukraine and support Ukraine in its fight for freedom, in the war waged against it by a brutal Russian dictator. All the Democrats stood and gave the King an ovation. All the Republicans in the hall were also forced to stand. Following them, Speaker Johnson, sitting behind the King at the speaker’s table, was also forced to stand and applaud. Only after this, after a pause, when the entire hall and even Speaker Johnson were standing and applauding, was Vice President Vance, sitting next to the Speaker, forced to stand and applaud belatedly. This is the same Vance who said about ten days ago that he was most proud that the Trump administration stopped aid to Ukraine.
King Charles reiterated the same during the state dinner at the White House – that NATO needs to be strengthened, and Ukraine needs to be supported in the fight against the Russian tyranny that attacked it.
There were two more important moments in the King’s speech in Congress.
When the King said that the great achievement of the creators of the USA was creating a system of checks and balances – a system in which the usurpation of power by its executive branch is impossible, which (the system) made the rule of law the basis of public order. This important thesis from the King also completely contradicts Trump’s policy and the Republican “Project-2025” program, which proposes that the executive power should have wide and practically unlimited authority, remain unchecked, and govern everything, effectively ignoring the legislative power.
And another important point when King Charles also emphasized the fundamental difference between his position and Trump’s position. The King spoke about climate change, the danger it poses to the planet, and the importance of solving this problem together.
▶ The 47th President is an extremely vindictive personality. Here’s what he tweeted to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in response to Merz’s interview where the Chancellor spoke negatively about the US and Israel’s war with Iran, stating that the US did not consult with allies before starting this war.
Here are Trump’s tweets:
“April 28, 14:25 German Chancellor Friedrich Merz thinks it’s acceptable for Iran to have nuclear weapons. He has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about! If Iran were to obtain nuclear weapons, the whole world would be held hostage. Right now, I’m taking steps against Iran that other countries – or presidents – should have taken long ago. No wonder Germany is doing so poorly – both economically and in all other respects! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
“April 29, 17:48. The United States is studying and considering reducing the number of troops in Germany; a final decision on this matter will be made very soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Donald J. Trump”
● The President continues to try to retaliate against former FBI director James Comey for investigating Russian interference in the 2016 US elections to help Trump. Last fall, federal prosecutors attempted to charge Comey with giving false testimony to Congress. The charge was dismissed by a judge as unlawfully presented.
On Tuesday, federal prosecutors charged Comey with intentionally threatening the life of the US President or seeking to inflict bodily harm on the President, and that he spread this threat across state lines and the US national border via the social network Instagram.
Almost a year ago, on May 15, 2025, while walking along a beach in North Carolina, Comey photographed four digits 8647 laid out from shells on the ocean shore, on the sand, and posted the photo on Instagram.
The most authoritative dictionary of American English Merriam-Webster states the following:
«86 – a verb used figuratively:
a) to refuse service (to a customer)
“— Beer here, bartender,” he said. “You’re ’86’,” declared Lucy. “Disconnected. We’re not serving you anything else” – Mary Karr;
b) To throw out or ban (a customer)
“The club bouncers ‘eighty-sixed’ her.
I nodded toward the bar next to us. He said, “I can’t go in there.” “Why?” “I was thrown out.” — Andre Dubus;
c) Broadly: to expel, fire, or remove (someone).
He was ‘eighty-sixed’ from Twitter after a wave of outrage from other users… — Jason Wilson
The professor and his lovely wife… are now ghosts: they were recently ‘eighty-sixed’ from this world when a rock fell on their car. — John Stark
But [Jim] Boylen is already yesterday’s news; on Friday, the “Bulls” showed him the door, completely ‘written off’… — Steve Greenberg
Informally:
a: to remove (a dish) from the menu; stop offering (a dish) to customers
b: to reject, discontinue, or get rid of (something)”
After Comey posted the photograph, he was contacted by the secret service protecting the president, and a number of right-wing media outlets went after him. Comey deleted the post just a few hours after publishing it and stated that he was surprised anyone perceived the photograph as a threat to the president.
Nearly a year has passed. Acting Attorney General, former criminal attorney for Trump Todd Blanche, has been making public statements for the second day claiming that Comey deliberately threatened the president. Meanwhile, FBI Director Patel stated that his department has conducted a thorough investigation for almost a year, resulting in charges being filed against Comey.
It can be said without fear of error that there are two possible futures for the charges against Comey. The first – the judge will dismiss the charges as unfounded and baseless without examining the case’s substance. The second – the case will collapse in court, as it is absolutely impossible to imagine 12 jurors unanimously finding Comey guilty of such a charge, for which there is no evidence (after all, intent must be proven – specifically the intent to threaten the president). But Trump and those loyal to him will certainly trouble James Comey’s nerves and make him spend plenty on lawyers.
James Comey released a video statement in which he said he is innocent, fears no one, will face his accusers in court, and concluded that each day brings us closer to restoring the rule of law in the USA.
▶ On Wednesday, a federal appeals court rejected Trump’s appeal against the district court’s decision, which ordered him to pay journalist E. Jean Carroll $83 million in damages for defaming her. Trump was previously found guilty by the court of sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll and was ordered to pay her $5 million in damages. However, he began to claim that he did not know the victim, never met her, and that she defamed him. E. Jean Carroll filed a new civil lawsuit against Trump, in which the court ruled that Trump must pay her the same $83 million. There is little doubt that the 47th president will now appeal to the Supreme Court.
There are 997 days left until the end of the story called “Fear: Trump in the White House” © (the title of Bob Woodward’s book, published in 2018).
Thank you to everyone who read. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Take care of each other, help each other. Health to everyone.
Ultimately, what happens in the world depends on us. Whether we fight evil, do good, remain mere observers, wait passively and believe someone somewhere will decide for us, or fight evil and do everything possible to ensure good prevails.
We must not allow evil to win. The victory of evil would mean the end of the world as we know it. We cannot allow this. Especially now.
Ukrainian Friends, I hug and love you all. Take care of each other, I ask you very much.
Ukraine is and will always be.
And evil will be defeated and punished. And this is inevitable.
