Many have reposted the photo of this girl, Kateryna Pravdiuk from Henichesk. Before the occupation, she attended a Ukrainian school, wore an embroidered shirt, sang the anthem, and most likely sincerely loved her homeland – Ukraine.
Now Kateryna is in occupation. She has grown up and she is no longer Ukrainian, but Russian. Kateryna is an active participant in their Yunarmiya, praises Russia and Putin, and curses Ukraine and Ukrainian soldiers.
Some people write that she is a traitor, others say she is a professional activist, indifferent between Ukraine or Russia, as long as there is action. Some say this is mimicry – adaptation to survive.
In my opinion, she is simply an unfortunate child whom her own state could not protect. Whatever her motive for participating in the Russian activities, none of this would have happened if Ukraine had not abandoned the South, its lands, and its people.
One can argue endlessly about why this happened, and why the troops were withdrawn from the South, and there was no one to stop the superior forces of the enemy, but the fact remains: Ukrainians found themselves in occupation and began to survive there as best they could.
This girl’s example is interesting to me primarily because of how masterfully Russians turn Ukrainians into Russians and then fight against us with our own people.
This is the expansion strategy of the horde, where with the help of terror and sweet incentives, the disobedient are eliminated or sent to prisons for many years, and the loyal are stimulated with significant material resources to switch to Russia’s side.
This is the same genocide and denial of the right to self-determination of Ukrainians in occupation, which international humanitarian organizations and the global community do not see. Violent Russification, where Russians break Ukrainian children, like the Ottoman Empire broke captured children and turned them into Janissaries.
There is no justice in the world. If Russians defeat us, most of our children will be like this girl, Kateryna Pravdiuk. They will try to become even bigger Russians than the Russians themselves, to feel at home in the empire of occupiers. And it won’t be their fault, but a tragedy.
In truth, it won’t matter to us anymore. Because we will be dead.
The only way out of this war alive for those like me is to erase them all. Therefore, I work on this and make efforts so that people who read my texts and believe me act accordingly.
