The entire Baltic oil and gas hub of Russia has been shut down (video)

Today, on the Day of the Security Service of Ukraine, a multi-day operation has concluded, and I think the crew of the “Baltika” from the 59th SAPB, which shot down Russian helicopters twice with an FPV drone, can rejoice. The operation can perfectly be called by his own call sign 🙂.

Last night, there were not just successful strikes at a distance of over 900 km, but a systematic shutdown of the entire Baltic oil and gas hub of Russia. And it was done in a highly comprehensive and precise manner, in a short term of one week.

Yes, there have been strikes on Ust-Luga and Primorsk before. Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine flew to Ust-Luga back in January 2024, but that was during massive attacks on all objects. Now we see a comprehensive approach to the Baltic hub – Ust-Luga, Primorsk, and Vyborg.

So let’s take a closer look at these ports and targets.

1. Ust-Luga. More than a port.

It wasn’t just a hit on a “barrel of fuel oil.” The nature of the blaze in the video is very reminiscent of the events of January 2024. That time, we disabled only the fractionation installations of gas condensate, and the fire wasn’t that massive. Today the plant faces a long and painful shutdown. “Novatek” has just ramped up power to 8 million tons per year by launching the third phase. They were overconfident and didn’t anticipate such a comprehensive strike from us.

2. Briefly, the difference between Primorsk and Ust-Luga.

Primorsk – this is more about the pumping of crude products, oil. It’s a valve that transfers oil from the BTS (Baltic Pipeline System) to tankers. The largest node for the export of Urals oil and diesel.

The tanks have been burning for the third day, and tankers are drifting in panic at sea because terminals are not accepting cargo. As a result, the Baltic transport system will stand idle.
Ust-Luga – this is technology and money. Here they produce high-value products. Thus, with a comprehensive attack, we simultaneously blocked both raw materials and finished products. Export via the Baltic is practically paralyzed.

3. Vyborg.

And if you are already flying 900 km with many drones, and most of the air defenses are covering the former capital, why not destroy something else under the noise? 😉

Thus, the strike on Vyborg and the icebreaker “Purga” (project 23550) is a demonstration of the systematic nature of our work. The swamps are already facing difficulties with building a new Arctic shipping line. For this, many icebreakers and ice-class tankers are needed. And the strike on such a class icebreaker, even though it can carry containers with Kalibrs – this is not a military-directed strike, but primarily economic. The ship has not yet been accepted into the fleet, although it has been launched but will now take even longer to recover before final acceptance into the Arctic flotilla. If it ever can. Because such a tilt, even in a shallow harbor, will require significant efforts to fit such a giant into dry docks for repairs.

In summary.

This comprehensive strike is the best thing we’ve done in the Baltic. At a distance of 900 km, near Saint Petersburg, we hit three key military-economic platforms with phenomenal accuracy and understanding in just a week. As Magyar wrote, the terminal in Ust-Luga could only operate for 48 hours before stopping again. Somehow it was repaired from previous attacks – and stopped again. Hopefully, for a long time.

Once again, happy Security Service Day, and congratulations to all other units of the GUR, SBS, SSO on such a cool operation! I look forward to details emerging in a few years about how we bypassed the air defenses and how the A-22 aircraft, for the first time since World War II, dropped bombs on Vyborg 😆.

Informational Resistance: A queue of “shadow fleet” tankers is accumulating in the Gulf of Finland due to strikes on Russian ports

Due to Ukrainian strikes on Russian ports around Saint Petersburg, a queue of the “shadow fleet” tankers, which were heading there to load, has started accumulating in the Gulf of Finland.
