Petro Poroshenko

For 12 years we have continued their struggle.

Most of the Heavenly Hundred died on February 20. They placed Ukraine’s independence from Russia above their own lives. An enormous price for dignity and freedom, which is still being attempted to be taken from us.

Since then, our sacred duty is to weigh each of our actions against the lives of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and the soldiers who died on the battlefield, all those tortured by Russia.

We must do everything to protect the country, help the front and the warriors fighting for peace. Do everything for the preservation of Ukraine.

Eternal glory to the Heavenly Hundred! Eternal memory!

February 20 is a great day in the history of Ukraine.

The day when the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred laid down their lives for the sake of freedom and an independent future of Ukraine. Since then, our bloody struggle for our native land and our place among European nations began.

Protesters first took to Maidan in November 2013. Ukrainians tried to preserve democracy in the country and to prevent the dictatorial regime of Yanukovych from stifling freedom, the rule of law, and destroying our desire to break away from bloody Russia.

The Kremlin was very frightened by the events on Maidan and the fire of freedom that ignited in the hearts of Ukrainians.

On February 20, the most brutal confrontation took place between the “Berkut” and the protesters. The blood of peaceful people was shed, nearly fifty Ukrainians and foreigners who were kindred spirits were deprived of their lives.

At that time, 12 years ago, Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine also began. Hundreds from the Maidan Self-Defense went to the East to defend their state in battle. To this day, our warriors lay down their lives in this war.

Our sacred duty is to do everything possible so that the great sacrifices made were not in vain. Preserve the unity that saved the country in 2014 and defended Ukraine and Kyiv in 2022.

Now the threats are no less. We need to support the Armed Forces and preserve our state.

Our memory, our strength, our love for our native land must save European, the world’s best Ukraine.

Glory to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred!
