If you imagine Russia as a person

If you imagine Russia as a person

If you imagined Russia as a person, it would look something like this…

A rather worn-out woman, with the face of Maria Zakharova (for me, this is undoubtedly the face of Russia), cannot manage to build her own life. She is unable to focus on her own affairs, her own home, her own work. The woman is unkempt, instead of inner health – more “plaster” on her face, but that cannot replace “breeding.” No self-discipline, no intellect. Focusing on her own “center” is impossible because there is emptiness.

When I write about one’s own internal “center,” I mean a sense of being self-sufficient. When we wake up in the morning alive, having survived the night, we move forward. There are goals, plans, an understanding of what we need to do today – in our own home and life. We, as Ukrainians, are mostly focused on our own, on our internal.

Meanwhile, “woman Russia” wakes up and instead of tidying up her own place, she puts on her shoes and heads to her neighbors. While she frays everyone’s nerves, meddles in others’ affairs, gives unsolicited advice, quarrels, and fights – her home remains messy, meals uncooked, and there is no personal “center.” Her entire “center” is based on others’ business.

And this is truly a tragedy. A life that lacks real meaning because it’s all sustained by external matters. Russia as a woman is pitiful. Russia as a state is incapable. For without subjugated foreign peoples, without manipulation, without controlling others, without interfering in foreign affairs, without using others’ resources, this state cannot survive.

Like a woman, Russia compares herself to others who are capable. If she were self-sufficient, she wouldn’t need comparisons or approval. But if others, successful ones, work hard on their success – woman Russia doesn’t have the time to work. From morning till evening, she prowls the streets, polluting the air with her presence, wasting her precious time.

As a state, Russia harbors huge complexes. She needs to be perceived as equal to the USA and China. But they don’t see her that way. And Russia sees the only solution to this “problem” in intimidation. It’s as if woman Russia persistently demanded men’s attention but acted clumsily and vulgarly, scaring everyone away.

When such a woman disappears, her neighbors will cross themselves and be glad to be rid of her. When Russia collapses, the world will lose nothing because, from Russia’s side, there has been and is only enormous, all-encompassing trouble.

Why did she come into this world, why did she exist? It’s regrettable to live in such a way that millions despise you…
