Ghostly talks about peace

Ghostly talks about peace
Serhii Marchenko

I want to point out that the “security guarantees” are being offered by the same people who proposed the “energy truce”.

The commonality in these “guarantees” is that the “truce” lasts only until the very moment Russia has accumulated missiles for a new strike. As soon as a new salvo is ready, targets identified, missiles programmed and ready to launch, the “truce” ends as unexpectedly as it began.

This is clear to anyone with minimal critical thinking because Russians ALWAYS act this way. It is their golden standard to lie about being ready for peace every time they need time to prepare a new attack.

But every time there are people who are so tired of the war that they WANT to believe the Russians and look to them for peace. These people are infantile idiots, the most dangerous because among them were the traitors who opened the gates to the enemy. They want to live so much that they’re ready to believe any lies of the occupiers.

It was them in 2014 who stopped the Ukrainian army in Donbas to let Russia in. It was them who blamed Ukrainian politicians for not being able to negotiate with Putin.

The greatest political mistake of the authorities is to rely on these idiots and promise them peace, which is said to be imminent. Yes, there are many of them, but by definition they CANNOT be a support for Ukrainian authorities because they are weak themselves and are looking to Putin for a strong hand to “impose order” here.

The uncomfortable truth is that no truce is possible while Russia has the capability to kill us. And no agreements with Russia have any meaning until we have the capability to PUNISH for non-compliance with agreements.

Everything else, all this stupid talk about peace that is just around the corner, is a damn placebo that does not cure the problem but only worsens our condition.

All uprisings and revolutions in Ukraine were mainly for the thing that Russians never understood – freedom.

There will be no rallies on the Maidan to surrender to the aggressor. These are obvious things. And to wait for the coldest night to strike us with missiles, Putin could do through a lack of understanding of us as a nation. And through the hope he still has that we will give him the miserable Donbas while he himself is on the edge of his own abyss. And through his basic hatred for us.

And the hatred there is overflowing. The last four years before another imitation of talks about ending the war he started – escalation, increased attacks, and no significant changes.

Yes, we weren’t massively driven into gas chambers. But they are doing things to us that are no less terrifying. The entire list of crimes that can exist in the world, almost all have been committed by Russians in Ukraine. Only nuclear strikes are yet to occur.

This war already occupies its place in world history – and when the world sees Ukrainians dancing to keep warm and thinks it’s bearable, as if it’s not so scary if they are holding on – NO. The most frightening thing is that the war has seeped into everyday life, into childhood, old age, business, culture, love, plans, and dreams of the whole country – and is becoming routine.

We routinely freeze. We work. We get sick and heal. We study and wash dishes in cold water (if there is any. If there is even a place to live).

For Putin’s attacks, this means no one will come out to meet him.

For us – that if we withstand, we will break free from the historical cycle, when we once again stayed in Moscow’s orbit and had no future.
