Apology? You won’t get one.

Apology? You won't get one.
Yuri Lutsenko

Today marks the anniversary of Zelensky’s famous phrase on February 17, 2022: “We can increase the army by two or three times, but then, for example, we won’t be able to build roads. This is a problem for us.”

The terrible war has been ongoing for four years. And it is at this time that any politician should at least apologize for the words spoken and the actions not taken. For lying to their people and failing to take measures for evacuation and defense.

Instead, we heard another powerful speech at the Munich Security Conference, where our showman once again lectured everyone. Because everyone is to blame except him.

Read these passages – it’s just a masterclass in irresponsibility.

1. Here’s a phrase from the President who, having been warned at least 5 months before the invasion, did NOT declare mobilization and did NOT sign the Order on martial law until the very last day of the invasion.

– And many politicians could learn – and should, in my opinion, learn – from ordinary rescuers, from ordinary repair teams, from ordinary energy workers on how to act without delay.

2. And here’s a paragraph from the President, who dismissed warnings about the inevitability of the invasion from US Secretary of State Blinken, boasting “Your intelligence is excellent, but you are far across the ocean, while we are here, on site. I think we know some things a bit deeper about our state.”

– And when you see something approaching, can you convince those who have influence to act preventively – to stop evil before it destroys everything?

3. And here’s the President, who never fulfilled the requirement of the Constitution and the Law to sign the Order on the use of the Armed Forces in case of the THREAT of invasion. It would be nice if he repeated this phrase in Bucha, Hostomel, Mariupol, Izium.

– After all, when there is war, time sometimes belongs only to the war itself. And, of course, this time is used against people. Therefore, no day, no opportunity should be lost in protecting lives.

4. And the trademark untruth, an attempt to rewrite history to avoid accountability for the absence of troops and defense lines in the Chonhar area.

– I sent our Army Commander – at that time General Zaluzhnyi – to talk with the American side, to explain what Ukraine needed to defend itself. I said: convey that we need ‘Javelins,’ ‘Stingers,’ real weapons, something tangible to stop the Russian army. To show them that we are not empty-handed. This was very important. But the most effective thing General Milley could offer Ukraine and our military then was just advice: dig trenches. Imagine that. You have hundreds of thousands of Russian troops at your borders, a mass of military equipment, and all you hear is “dig trenches.”

5. Everyone remembers that a month before the war, allies delivered about 3,500 anti-tank missiles to Ukraine by dozens of transport planes, which never reached the troops.

But from the person who buried $15 billion in asphalt before the war, we hear:

– Before the invasion began, we told the world: act now. Please act preventively so that the invasion does not happen.

And another passage as a conclusion, without words:

– Just as we now remember the time before the Russian invasion, what can be said about this time in another four years? Will any of the present powerful people try to remove responsibility from themselves and justify it?

We are waiting to be told that the true author of the phrase about “barbecue in May” was Biden, Scholz, or Macron?
