This winter was very difficult for the residents of Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and other cities. Ukrainians are holding on despite daily enemy shelling and unbearable cold. Without light, heat, or hot food.
Our team helped with the most necessary things. We set up “Solidarity Points” in districts of the capital where buildings with many entrances hadn’t seen light or heat for months. People could do laundry, warm up, and charge phones with us. We were waiting for everyone.
The decision to purchase gas stoves for Kyiv residents who were left without the ability to cook hot food proved very appropriate. Our stoves flew off the shelves like hot cakes among rescuers, electricians, and utility workers working in -20°C.
But all this time we did not forget about the needs of the military. Because nothing compares to how the cold feels in a damp bunker.
200 heaters — a new batch that we are sending to the military on the front today.
2000 heaters — the number we managed to supply to the army during this freezing winter.
2000 bunkers have become warm. There, you can warm up, dry shoes and clothes, and just take a break from stress. This is very important for our military.
We searched for heaters both in Ukraine and abroad. They had to be reliable, diesel-powered, and have remote control. In total, the Poroshenko Foundation managed to purchase them for 11,000,000 UAH.
We continue to work for the front. In difficult times, we come to the aid of civilians. Not thanks to, but despite the obstacles from authorities, lawlessness, and corruption.
And only spring gives us hope that with warmth, relief will come. And we will definitely overcome everything.
