▶ When asked if there is a bottom for Trump and his entourage, the answer is absolutely clear – there is neither a bottom nor a base. Having reached the next low, they immediately pave the way to a new, even lower, more shameful, crazier low.
At the end of last week, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hosted the finance minister of the evil empire, Siluanov, discussing “cooperation” in the financial sphere. It was perfectly clear that this was not the bottom. Just a stopover. And Bessent proved this on Wednesday. He gave an interview to Fox News. The host asked him when Americans can expect prices for gasoline, energy carriers, and energy to decrease. To which Bessent replied that high gas prices in the US are Ukraine’s fault for deciding to destroy the Russian oil refining industry. That’s what Ukraine decided. And because of this, gas became more expensive in the US. And diesel fuel became more expensive. And electricity became more expensive. All because of Ukraine, which suddenly, out of nowhere, decided to destroy the Russian oil refining industry.
Can you fall even lower? There is no doubt that you can. Not just fall, but break through the next low at very high speed, and fall, fall, fall further, accelerating, gaining speed, breaking through one low after another, falling as low as no one has ever fallen in American history. The saddest part is that there is absolutely no doubt that this fall will continue. Precisely with acceleration.
By their choice made on November 3, 2024, 49.8% of voters who participated in the election decided to push the country into the abyss. Some of these voters thought they were voting for cheap gas and cheap eggs. But they essentially voted for a leap into the abyss.
▶ U.S. Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll has resigned. The U.S. maintains a civilian-political leadership system not only over the entire Department of Defense but all branches of the armed forces. The civilian Army Secretary is responsible for staffing and fully supplying the ground forces. It is reported that Driscoll arrived at the White House late last week and submitted his immediate resignation due to disagreements with the methods and actions of Pentagon Chief Hegseth. According to Driscoll, these methods and actions harm the American army and negatively affect its combat readiness. Since his appointment, Hegseth has been conducting a continuous purge in the army. He has dismissed nearly two dozen generals and admirals, including General Brown, appointed by Joe Biden as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. All these dismissals quite obviously appear to be based on Hegseth’s dislike for people of non-white color, women, as well as suspicions that the generals hold liberal political views. Hegseth, apparently for the same reasons, is blocking the promotion of generals and officers whom he dislikes.
The peculiarity of Driscoll’s resignation lies in the fact that he joined the Trump administration upon the recommendation of Vice President Vance, with whom Driscoll has maintained a friendship since their college years.
However, at a press conference in the White House on Thursday (apparently specially convened), Vice President Vance expressed full support for Pentagon Chief Hegseth, effectively distancing himself from his longtime friend Driscoll.
On Wednesday, Republican Senator from North Carolina Tillis, who declined to run for re-election to avoid inevitable defeat in the Republican primaries, called on Trump to immediately dismiss Hegseth. Vance’s statement can be considered a response to this call.
▶ At the same White House press conference, Vice President Vance stated that the war with Iran is not a war but a military operation (learning from Putin, perhaps), that he doesn’t know how long this operation will last, and that it would be wrong to set any deadlines for its execution.
Over the past three days, Trump has declared daily that the U.S. controls the Strait of Hormuz, that Iran has already been defeated, that he, Trump, is in no rush, and that Iran is a state in decline.
On Wednesday, at 11:23 AM Eastern Time, the 47th President shared a new revelation with the world by posting the following tweet on his social network:
“Now that the Strait of Hormuz is under US control, should we rename it the TRUMP STRAIT??? Like America itself, it would become ‘hotter’ than ever before! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
