Five laws of geopolitics

Five laws of geopolitics
Valeriy Chaly

The first law of geopolitics: periods of war are natural for humanity; a period of peace is the exception, not the rule.

The second law of geopolitics: an aggressor dares to reshape the world and attacks not when it is at its strongest, but when it perceives others as weak.

The third law of geopolitics: if you try to confine a war within specific territory, it will certainly go beyond its boundaries and, with high probability, come to you.

The fourth law of geopolitics: the level of military readiness for a real escalation of conflict is inversely proportional to the time politicians spend explaining how to avoid it.

The fifth law of geopolitics: peace will inevitably come at least because new key players need time to accumulate resources and prepare for a new war.
